Description
Train ONLINE to become a Seasons for Growth Companion in component 3 of the Parent Program - "Supporting young people following loss by suicide in the community".
This professional development training is delivered over 3 hours online by an authorised Trainer.

- This session is part of the Seasons for Life initiative and as such participants need an authorised voucher in order to register for this session. Participants will also be invited to participate in an external evaluation and Principal endorsement is required. * Participants must already be a Companion in the Seasons for Growth Children and Young People's Program to attend the Parent Program training.
Outcome
The programs provide the support and space to:
- Learn how children and young people respond to change, loss and grief.
- Understand that it is normal to experience a range of grief reactions.
- Explore new approaches to dealing with change, loss and grief in the lives of children.
- Build communication, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in a supportive network of adults.
- Integrate new learning into their relationships with their family.
Additional Information
- To successfully participate in the online session, you require a computer with Zoom, and reliable internet access. All participants are required to have the camera on at all times during the training. For effective participation in breakout rooms and to ensure attendance is correctly recorded, please do not share a computer.
- Included is a copy of the Companion Manual and sample journals which will be sent directly after the session.
- Sessions are delivered in AEST. If attending from interstate or overseas, please be aware of the time difference.
